The Alaska
Adventurer's custom design is based on forty years
of Alaska boating experience providing you a safe,
stable, functional, and very comfortable vessel to
enjoy your Alaskan adventure upclose. She was built
in 1980 to offer the most versatile charter in
Southeast Alaska. She is USCG inspected and
licensed.
Her 55' length
contains four private staterooms accommodating up
to eight guests. All decks are covered and heat is
controlled separately in each cabin providing you
comfort in all types of weather. The Adventurer
carries two 17' Boston Whalers for shore
excursions. For floating conferences, she is
equipped with video and slide equipment in the
spacious main salon as well as a select library of
nautical and ecological books. And her professional
galley can serve anything from a light snack to a
sumptuous feast.

settee, TV/VCR, CD/Cassette decks with remote controls
for replaying your days camcorder efforts.
- Pilot House: Its
generous size and settee makes a very popular spot for
your outside viewing, chatting and observing hi-tech
navigational instruments in action.
- Fly-Bridge: Over
the pilot house and top-most observation deck with ample
seating and space for filming and viewing whales and
wildlife.
- Aft Deck: 80%
covered, well equipped for fishing or viewing. A gate at
the stern makes for easy access to the
Whalers.
- Fore Deck: Where
the action is during whale watching or filming porpoises
riding the bow wave. Hydrophones are lowered from this
deck to listen to the whale songs.
- Stabilizing
Devices: She has both fixed and hydraulic gyro
stabilizers to eliminate and minimize the boats
roll.
- Odds and Ends:
200 gal/day water maker, 1000 gal storage, 3 separate
water heaters, Music/PA system piped throughout vessel,
Large capacity freezer/refrigerator, Two generators
producing 110v
